The Meadow is a shop that celebrates the classical pleasures—or what some call the necessities of life. Gourmet sea salts, dark chocolate, wine (in our Portland store), select gourmet items, and fresh cut flowers that are arranged with love and imagination. We also host a variety of events including finishing salt, chocolate, and wine tastings in sometimes unexpected combinations, plus art openings, and occasional dinner parties.
We have two shops: in Portland Oregon and in New York City. Our Portland shop is in the heart of Portland's historic Mississippi District, surrounded by many

Our New York City shop is located in Manhattan’s West Village, on Hudson Street. The neighborhood is warm, intimate, and as diverse as a European town, only smack in the middle of the nation’s cultural capital. We love it for both reasons. Learn more about Hudson Street and the West Village.

Directions
Public Transit: The #4 bus runs up and down Mississippi Ave every 15 minutes. You can catch this bus many places, including downtown and the Rose Garden Transit Center. Get off at Beech or Failing.
From I-5 Heading North: (1) Take Exit 303 for Killingsworth/Swan Island. Stay in the right lane. (2) Right on Alberta. Right on Albina at the first light. (3) Stay on Albina, which turns into Mississippi, for about a mile. The Meadow will be on your right.
From I-5 Heading South: (1) Take Exit 303 for Alberta St/Swan Island. (2) Take a left onto Alberta, then take a right on Albina. (3) Stay on Albina, which turns into Mississippi, for about a mile. The Meadow will be on your right.

Subway Stations: The closest subways are the 1 at Christopher Street and the L & A/C/E at 8th Avenue-14th Street.
PATH: If you're coming in on PATH, use the Christopher Street PATH station.
Buses: The closest buses are M-11 & M14A in Abindgon Square and M-20 on Hudson between Christopher and 10th.
