We process most shipments within 1-2 business days of ordering. Occasionally items may be temporarily out-of-stock or backordered. In these cases, you will be alerted and will be provided an approximate date of shipment. Should any other unforeseen delay occur, you will be notified within 2 business days of placing your order.

Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the territories may take longer to arrive.
EXPEDITED SHIPMENT DEADLINE:
Fed Ex & UPS overnight shipments must be received no later than 11:00 a.m. PST to guarantee shipment on the same day. Orders received after this time or on weekends will be shipped the next business day.
**NOTE: For Overnight, 2nd Day and 3 Day options: Saturday delivery is available to some, but not all locations. Please check with your preferred carrier to assure that your packages arrive as planned.
Warm Weather Shipping
During the warm summer months it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that our chocolate customers purchase our warm weather packing option. If you purchase chocolate to be shipped to an area experiencing high temperatures without cold packaging, The Meadow cannot be held responsible for damaged chocolate due to heat exposure. You may purchase a cold-pack here. We recommend the purchase of multiple packs for shipments to the Midwest or East Coast as well, as we are located in Portland, OR.
We also recommend our chocolate customers choose an air mail shipping option such as Priority, 2-day, next day or overnight to guarantee a safe delivery.
Canadian Shipping Policy

The Meadow ships to Canada with USPS. If you require a UPS delivery, please call us for a shipping quote. If you would like to ship to Canada, please read the following before selecting your shipping option:
USPS – USPS provides all customs and brokerage services required to get you your package. When selecting USPS, you will be paying for all duties, taxes, and customs charges up front. The Meadow is not responsible for additional fees or charges incurred during pick-up.
USPS orders will be sent out within 1-2 business days of placing the order.
For International shipping information, please call us at 1-888-288-4633, or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. All orders outside the United States require a $100.00 minimum and are subject to a $50 handling fee.
International orders should be placed by downloading the International Order Form, available in .PDF or .XLS formats. Our online shopping cart cannot accommodate international orders. International orders will be shipped using our default International shipper unless specifically noted. Please refer to the International Order Form for our policies for all orders outside the U.S.
Online Return Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with a purchase for any reason, please return it for an exchange or merchandise credit. The following policies apply to all returns:
- Returns with the original purchase receipt will be exchanged or refunded in the original tender.
- Returns with a gift receipt will be exchanged or refunded for the value indicated on the gift receipt in the form of a store credit.
- Returns without the original purchase receipt will be exchanged or refunded at the current selling price in the form of a store credit.
- Opened chocolate and bitters are not accepted unless the product is defective.
Returns by Mail
To return an item by mail, please follow the instructions below:
- Send back your item(s) to The Meadow along with the invoice or packing slip that accompanied your package.
- If you do not have your original invoice or packing slip, please include a letter with your returned merchandise that includes the following information:
- Your name
- Phone number
- Order number
- Item name/description
- Reason for return
- Action to be taken (replacement or merchandise credit)
- Ship the package with your item(s) to the following address, where your return will be processed according to your instructions:
