What a lovely thing you have going and Lisa was the best person to help me make my upcoming special day even more special. You have a beautiful thing going and what is an extra special city you have brought it!

I am at a loss for words. I was so overwhelmed by choices of salt and chocolate when I walked in, but Lisa made me feel so at home and was so helpful. She went above and beyond to help me choose some amazing chocolate and salt for my very special birthday. This is an incredible city and word of mouth is everything. just wanted to tell you your alea volcanic red salt is fabulous on avacados. I eat one every night with red salt sprinkled on it. fabulous combination.

This may be the most distinctive classes any of us has ever taken. Your knowledge of salt was fascinating, and the entire evening's focus on the finer aspects of the culinary arts gave our whole program a unique twist.

Not only was the salt beautiful, I greatly appreciate the effort that you the presentation of your product. Your simple touches were a perfect complement to the beauty of the salt. I can’t imagine the tired, sore muscles that you must have after receiving a shipment of salt slabs!?!?! While on a visit to Portland recently, my wife Traci and I discovered The Meadow on our foray into the wilds of East Portland. It's on the same street as the excellent restaurant Lovely Hula Hands and we stumbled upon it while we killed a few minutes waiting for our reservation time to tick down.

The Meadow had the most incredible variety of salts that you could imagine. In fact, it was so mind-boggling and the woman behind the counter (an owner, I think) was so busy putting together a late-day flower order, that we ended up not buying any salt at all. Instead, I bought a bottle of amazing orange bitters that I've been looking for for years.

So it was great to have you do a tasting for us. I immediately went online to The Meadow's site and bought some Grigio de Cervia and can't wait to try it.

Another reason to check out The Meadow is their stupefying selection of chocolate, 99.9% of which I'd never heard of. Maybe another tasting possibility?

I just wanted to commend you for compelling, excellent writing on your website and product inserts. I bought a small Starter Set of tins for my sister this past February and of course had to check the contents before I wrapped it up for her. I was fascinated by the product inserts and the obvious love and passion the writer (you, perhaps?) has for the product. It made me want to return and buy some of everything. :) Unfortunately, I can't do that at this point--but I hope to very soon.

Oh--and she said the salts were the very best gift she'd ever received. She said she would even get a few grains of the black pyramid or smoked salt and slowly eat them plain--as the ultimate low calorie snack. (She is a salt fiend.) She would have been a great repeat customer but has since moved to Europe.

I won't hesitate to recommend you to others who love to cook, and already have.

My deepest thanks for having another terrific experience at your store. The class tonight made me excited to experiment at home with my new block. The Claudio Cocallo nibs freshly bagged smell like heaven. I recognize it takes a lot of time and effort to conduct tastings, classes and demonstrations.
That you love what you do, and working with each other, is evident. I left the store again having a sensory experience that is not just limited to visual, taste and smell. It's about a way of living on a daily basis.

I stopped by your store early Nov. while visiting my cousin in Vancouver. I LOVED the salt I bought and gave as gifts. I would love to take the class, but won't be visiting at that time. It all sounds very interesting. I would like to thank you for turning me one to finishing salts. I was a bit embarrassed to tell my husband how much I spent on salt, but he loves it, and when we finish what I bought I will be shopping online to get more. Thanks for being on the cutting edge. The salt/pepper grinders arrived yesterday - thanks to you and Fed Ex for making sure I got what I needed when I needed it. To make a long story short, they are a gift for a co-worker who has long admired the same set of grinders that I keep in my desk drawer and use daily - I have not been able to find them anywhere and tomorrow, I leave my job for a sabbatical and wanted to leave this co-worker with a set of his very own salt/pepper grinders!

Hi, I purchased the 10 pyramid of tropical dark chocolates for my Mom for Mothers day through Amazon.com from you. It arrived very quickly and my Mom loved it. She said it looked beautiful and was in perfect condition. She is diabetic so she had only tried a very little (she has great will power!) but she said it tasted good too.

I gotta say how amazing this salt is. My mother-in-law gave me a bit of the poo poo eye roll when she saw my salt box and I told her about it.

She's a great woman, but was skeptical.

Understandable though. Some folks can't tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi, for example. Well, not a very sophisticated example, but, he, he, you get my point I'm sure. In any case, now I feel my summer cucumbers are just not the same with any other salt!
