Wine

Wine defines the bounds of the edible world, from Champagne breakfast to dessert Port. Our pursuit of wine is mirrored by our personal penchants and pursuits: a slow afternoon on the porch with a glass of chilled rose; a boisterous last-minute dinner with friends and a few bottles of Oregon Pinot Noir, a late-night sip of Banyuls and a promising new chocolate bar from the shop. And sometimes our mad love of wine spills into other elixirs, and we dabble bitters into the swirling pool of a Negroni or Manhattan, or slosh Vermouth into a Martini on its own straight on some ice cubes. The Meadow's selection of wines, Champagnes, vermouths, bitters, and various other fermented and infused liquids inclines toward the undiscovered, the underappreciated, and often undervalued. Our hope is to share with you wines that give shape and savor to life.

The wine selection at The Meadow strays from the more popular labels and instead sheds light on wine that can only be discovered through an unbiased, passionate love of wine. While some of Oregon’s most exciting Pinot noirs are represented, including Soter, Brandberg, and Hammacher, small producers from Spain, Italy, France, Austria, and Portugal make up the heart of the wine list. The Meadow’s exploration of essential but often-overlooked wines extends to Aperitifs such as Pinot de Charentes, digestifs such as Banyuls, ice wines, Ports, and Vin Santos, Champagnes and Cavas, and even craft-made Vermouths and bitters for cooking, cocktails, and sipping.
